My Shoes

Given my obsession with shoes, I thought it's only right I share the shoes I see fit to house my feet. I got these F-Troupe's for my birthday earlier this year and are part of their 'Made in England' collection. Made from pebbled leather and sports a stitch down welt and eva wedge sole. I've worn these at every opportunity this summer.

On a side note, the store is definitely worth a visit, with an eclectic mix of Victorian bric-a-brac, taxidermy animals and imagery of circus side show acts, this is not your average shoe shop.

Mark McNairy Whole Cut Derby

I've been shopping for a pair of black shoes for some time, and although this doesn't sound like the most difficult of tasks, take my word for it, finding a pair of decent black shoes is not easy. However, I think my search is over. This full grain derby from McNairy is made from a single panel of leather. So smart. The only problem I seem to be having is that I can't seem to find a UK stockist.

Oak Street Boot Makers - Suede Trail Oxford

These shoes are simply beautiful. I've left it a bit late to get my boat shoes this year with the summer coming to an end, but there's no harm in looking ahead to next summer.

Pinkberry Sunday

I finally got to visit London's first Pinkberry and it did not disappoint. The original frozen yogurt company lets you choose from various flavours of yogurt and as many toppings that can comfortably sit in the cup. The mini chocolate brownies are a must! Nomnomnom.

Tricker's for the Bureau - Red Cordovan Super Boot

Tricker's of England have produced a range of shoes for Northern Ireland's The Bureau, this fantastic collection is definitely worth a look. A favourite of mine is the Red Cordovan Super Boot. This style features a beautiful shell cordovan allan upper with a double stitched toe cap, double leather sole in a natural finish and a natural barbour welt, and they even throw in two sets of laces.

Cherchbi Herdwyck - Squires Holdall

I came across Cherchbi when searching the web for a new weekend bag and instantly fell in love with this brand. Established in 2007, the brand focuses on using traditional British design and manufacturing processes. The wool for the bag is from a rare-breed mountain sheep, the Herdwick. The tweed took 9 weave trials over fours years to perfect, giving a high quality fabric; a waterproof tweed as robust as the Herdwick itself. Trimmed with British Saddle leather, this bag is stylish and durable, perfect for my weekend travels.

Now Playing - Spinto Band: Nice & Nicely Done

Like most of the population, I can't get enough of my iPod. I've recently started listening to something that's been on my playlist for a few years; it's one of the few albums I can listen to beginning to end and still one of my favourites today. If you haven't already got this on your iPod, download it. Now.

Lanvin Suede Low-Top Sneakers

I love sneakers, I love Lanvin, and at the moment I have a bit of a thing for gray, so when I came across these it only felt right to type about them. Admittedly they may not the most exciting sneaker from their current collection, but they are my favourite. What I love most about these is the clear and white midsole, such subtle detailing is what makes these sneakers so popular.

John Lobb Monk Straps

I've never quite understood Monk Strap's, may be they're a bit mature for me, but a few guys around the office have been sporting them so I felt the need to type a piece. John Lobb have a history of shoe making dating back to 1866, they offer the finest craftsmanship, each shoe goes through a manufacturing process of 190 steps and takes several weeks to complete. The William, the most popular and renown model, is a style classic, finished with twin-stitched toe cap and signature double buckle. An investment, if cared for will last a lifetime.
